The wide catalogue also includes various training courses for operators in the wind sector, which follow the GWO (Global Wind Organisation) Standards.
Kong Training Center is a GWO BST (Basics Safety Training) accredited training centre.
GWO is an association of wind turbine manufacturers and operators that has created internationally recognised training standards. The GWO is becoming increasingly important, as the wind sector is expected to expand greatly in the coming years: it will be necessary to train a large workforce qualified from a technical point of view, but also, without fail, with regard to safety.
Technicians are trained on two fronts:
- BST (Basics Safety Training): it is essential for accessing any wind plant as it provides the skills needed to work safely in all parts of the plant
- BTT (Basics Technical Training) provides the necessary expertise specifically for technical interventions.
GWO courses are taught by qualified teachers with many years of experience in the sector. All GWO course participants must create a WINDA profile on the Global Wind Organisation website. At the end of the course, participants who pass the final test will be issued a certificate valid for 24 months.
